WebFunctional Family Therapy (FFT) services are provided in-home with youth and their family, for an average 12-16 sessions over three to six months. Developed by FFT, LLC, FFT is a strength based and research driven model that reduces risk factors and increases protective factors for youth and families and their environment. WebFFT is a short-term therapeutic intervention for delinquent youth at risk of institutionalization. Therapists work with the whole family—often in the family’s home—to decrease negativity and dysfunctional patterns of behavior, improve family communication and supportiveness, develop positive behavior change and improve parenting strategies.
