WebApr 9, 2024 · Nice. I’ve been using the Samyang 24mm f1.8 for week on my A7R4. Nice, a real gem of a lens across the whole aperture range. It’s Really sharp, even at f1.8 and AF is fine, it’s lightweight and the manual aperture setting works well. There can be purple fringing in high contrast at f1.8 which goes away at f2.8 and above. WebAug 5, 2024 · It is better a little stopped down but it is surprisingly good at f1.8 and even in the corners wide open for such a small, light and cheap lens. That is what made me wonder how it compares to the GM (which I never had a chance to test). The Samyang 24 shouldn't be GM good - but how far from it is it that is what I'd like to find out?
