They can't use over 4 GB. There's no way to change this, except rewriting the software. WebJan 15, 2016 · It can use up to 4 GB of RAM (in reality, the upper limit is 3.7 GB but the danger zone for most of us is around 3.5 or so). While the game was designed for a lower common denominator, the 2 GB upper limit no longer applies except for players on the Mac OS. Even on an actual 32-bit OS, it can do better than that. Up to a point, of course.
